Carlo Nason: Luminary of Italian Lighting Design
Now that the clocks have gone back and the nights are drawing in, here at Living in Style Gallery we thought it might be quite fun to throw a designer spotlight on a visionary and luminary in the world of Italian lighting design.
Carlo Nason (born 1935) still practices his art in Murano in Italy. These days he is notoriously reclusive and shies away from the limelight to concentrate on his work. His lighting designs are renowned for their simplicity and clean lines and he developed his style whilst working in collaboration with Studio Mazzega A.V. in the 1970’s and 1980’s. He is best know for his Murano disc light and layered glass lighting sculptures.
Our sister gallery in Brussels, Watteeu is delighted to present a collection of nearly 50 pieces of Carlo Nason lighting designs.
